This tutorial was created using Paint Shop Pro 10 and will explain how to make a "tileable" background (like the ones below) from scratch!<br /><img src="http://img350.imageshack.us/img350/7130/001ha5.png" alt="" /> <img src="http://img344.imageshack.us/img344/9880/002cb5.png" alt="" /><br />This tutorial assumes you have a basic knowlege of PSP and it's tools.<br /><br />
<a name="cutid1"></a><div class="ljcut" text="Read more...">001. Start off by creating a new 100x100 pixel image.<br /><br />002. Fill your blank canvas with your desired color. I chose a light pink, #eec6d1.<br /><br />003. Take your rectangular tool (G) and make a small rectangle (with a different color) that stretches the entire height of the canvas (<a href="http://img344.imageshack.us/img344/589/003jh0.png">example</a>)<br /><br />004. You'll want to make sure the vector rectangle is in the center of the canvas... Objects>Align>Center in Canvas.<br /><br />005. Layers>Merge>Merge All.<br /><br />006. Effects>Reflection Effects>Kaleidoscope<br /><br />007. A window will pop up, make sure you have "wrap" selected at the bottom under "edge modes."<br /><br />008. Now this is where you experiment! Change the settings until you get something you like. I set mine like <a href="http://img344.imageshack.us/img344/5092/008gl8.png">this</a>.<br /><br />009. Voila!
